COCKER

Query Text:

Do I have any relatives? My grand-father, Harry Cocker, was from the Halifax area. He was born May 12, 1885 on South Lane, Elland, County of York and died during WWII. His Father was John Wm ( power loom tuner) and his Mother was Mary Ann . He had 9 siblings but the only one I've heard of was Sam. Harry spent WWI as a POW in Berlin. After the war he returned to England with his wife(Ina Vogelsang Cocker) and daughter ( Helen). They visited relatives in St. Anne and Halifax area.. He was involved with cotton factories all over Europe . Since I started this I've had to rethink some of the things I was told. So I am editing this query! Harry lived with his aunt ( great-aunt) Mary Bailey in St. Anne's as a child. He did have loads of siblings and there was at least one step-mother maybe two. I did find a photo of his sister Harriet who was born in 1880, I think. So I am still looking for the children of his siblings!!
