Looking for Robert BARKER, described as a schoolteacher or a teacher who had a school, in Bay County. He came to Ontario between 1829-1831 with the intent of ridding a home of evil spirits and was arrested by the British for practicing witchcraft. He was taken from the Wallaceburg area to Windsor where he was tried and found not guilty. This incident was in connection with The Baldoon Mystery. This is the 200 Anniversary of the Baldoon Settlement and the fate of this man is of great interest to us. Anyone recognize the name BARKER from this timeframe? Thanks! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
