I am looking for the ancestry of Robert Humphrey of Prestonville, Carroll County, Ky. He was born in 1817 and married Sarah, that marriage producing two children, Mary B. and James Arthur. Sarah died abt. 1864 and he remarried Martha ?, producing several more children. I am unable to find the maiden name of Martha and the parents of Robert. He was said to be a steamboat captain and the census does confirm that. I have hit a brick wall where Robert is concerned. Some census say he was born in Indiana, some say Pennsylvania, and some say Kentucky. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
