Searching for my 4th Gr Grandfather. His Name is Jean Baptiste Altazin, Sr. I think he was born between 1724 & 1768 in Basses-Pyrenees Bayonne, France (now Pyrenees Atlantiques, France). He was married betwen 1750 and 1804 in Bayonne to Francoise Porche born between 1731 & 1771 in Bayonne, France. They had a son, Jean Baptiste Altazin, Jr, born between 1764 & 1794, in Bayonne. He came to Baton Rouge, Louisiana (probably alone) and he married Scholastique Genevieve Arbour (Harbour) in 1812 in St. Joseph Catholic church in Baton Rouge, La. I am desperate for information on Jean and Francoise as I have been researching this family for about 5 years without any success. any info will be deeply appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
