Query Text: |
I am trying to find some information on the Herrity/Harrity/McGinley family from Gortahork, County Donegal. My great grandfather, Patrick Harrity, came to the US approx. 1901. He married Ellen McGinley in Philadelphia in 1903. She was from County Donegal also. Patrick had at least two brothers that I know of, Daniel and James, both living in Scotland as of 1963, when he died. Ellen had a two sisters, Nancy Doohan of Ireland, Mary Riley of Boston, Massachusetts, and two brothers, Bernard McGinley of Ireland, and James McGinley of Scotland. She may have had more siblings, but this was as of 1962, when she died. I have found some pictures of a Herrity's Pub in Ireland. The pictures are fairly recent, no more than 20 years old. I do not know where it is located, but I believe that is how the last name was originally spelled in Ireland. Any help, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
