I have found variations in my family name: Rupley, Rubley, Ruble, Ruple, Rupple, Ruppley, Ruplely, Ruplely, Rupely, Rupleyrubley. "Ripley" is a rare typo, but I've seen it in CA land records. My Query: I'm trying to track down "The Big Woman" -- Jane O'Neil, who came to CA with husband John Wesley Rupley in 1848 overland.
