John Harner was born about 1803 in what is now Snyder County. His biography says he was a native of Snyder County, Pennsylvania. He married Susan Hainey about 1829 and their son John Harner was born in Northumblerland County in 1830. John Sr.'s brother was Micahel Harner b. abt 1810 who married Sophia Plank in Pennsylvania. Both later lived in Ohio and by 1840 had settled in Berrien County, Michigan. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
