Hello, I'm looking for descendants of Arthur Nonus Birch,Actg.Lieutenant-Governor of Penang,Malaysia from(1871-1872).His ancestors:-Henry William Rous Birch was born 1794 and died 10 January 1854 in Southwold, Suffolk. He married Lydia Mildred, daughter of Daniel Mildred.. she was born in the Grove, Woodford, Essex.. Henry was Rector of Southwold, Suffolk. They had Issue:- (i) Rev. Augustus Frederick Birch b-1827 in Southwold, Suffolk; d-20 July 1898 in Northchurch, Beckhamsted. married Isabella Ann Corrance, daughter of Frederick Snowden Corrence.. She was born in Parham Hall, Suffolk. they had issue. (ii) Henry Mildred Birch b-12 January 1820 d-29 June 1884 in St Leonards Lodge, Winsor, Berkshire. married Harriet Julia Drinkwater, daughter of Thomas Drinkwater of Irwell House, Lancashire. Henry was Canon of Manchester, Chaplain to Queen Victoria and to the Prince of Wales. (iii) John William Birch b1825 in Southwold, Suffolk. married Julia Arden in 1852 daughter of Joseph Arden of Rickmonsworth, Hertfordshire. John was Governor of the Bank of England. (iv) Ernest George Birch b-1 August 1829 in Southwold, Suffolk. He married (1) Emily Harriet Hutton daughter of John T D'Arcy Hutton of Marske Hall, Yorkshire. He married (2) Sophia Ernle Money on the 28 July 1855 in Berhampore, India, daughter of R.C. Money. Ernest was Judge of the High Court of Calcutta, India. (v) Arthur Nonus Birch b-September 1837 d-31 October 1914. He married Josephine Watts-Russell in 1873 daughter of Jessie Watts-Russell. She died in 1893. Arthur was Lt-Gov. of Ceylon, Lt-Gov. of Penang, Colonial Sec. of Ceylon, Colonial Sec. of British Columbia. They had issue: (i) Wyndham Lindsay Birch b-22 March 1874. He married Lady Susan York on the 23 June 1920 daughter of the 7th Earl of Hardwicke. Wyndham was Prime Warden of Fishmongers Society. (ii) Arthur Egerton Birch (Watts-Russell) b-1877 d-2 March 1923 married Silvia Caroline Grenvell on the 20 November 1912 daughter of Charles Molyneux Grenvill. Arthur assumed the name of Watts-Russell, Captain in the Coldstream Guards. Wyndham Lindsay Birch and Susan York had issue:- Simon Birch b-15 March 1921 in London d-28 May 1995 in Brantham, Suffolk., Married Joan Gwenllian Coventry on the 2 August 1945 she died 1990.
