My father, Erick Emmanuel Allison, was born in Mocho, Clarendon, Jamaica in 1921. His paternal grandfather was William Allison b. around 1885-1900. William Allison had been a horse trainer and often worked in Cuba. My paternal grandmother was Lillian Allison. William and Lillian had about three children before Lillian died? around 1921. William Allison remarried and the family lived in Cuba for a while, leaving my father in Jamaica with a grandmother. Further children were born. The family returned to Jamaica but around 1928 William is believed to have died. My father’s grandmother continued to raise him. His step-mother moved away with the children she had borne for William. It is unclear what happened to any other children who had been born to William and Lillian. I am trying to find out more about my paternal grandparents eg. dates of birth, death, where buried, marriage, siblings, other children they had, their parentage etc. Regards | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
