I am looking for any information about my mother's family. My mother was MARIE ANNETTE WERNER, b. 8/2/1934, d. 2/26/1976, in BALTIMORE, MD; moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. when she was 3yrs old, to BEATRICE CHRISTINA LIGHTHISER and HENRY AUGUST WERNER. Henry's father was JOHN AUGUST WERNER. Henry had a brother, CHRISTIAN F. WERNER and a half sister RUTH ANNETTE WERNER-VERMILLION. Henry and Chris's mother had died in childbirth and I believe her name was LUNDSLAGER. Ruth's mother was MARY SCHWAB. Don't know anything else about that family other than they came over from HAMBURG, GERMANY, settling in the German section of Baltimore. My grandmother's father was THEODORE JOHN LIGHTHISER, b.1877 d.1944, in Baltimore, MD to JOHN G. LIGHTHISER AND DORA PRITCHETT, from VA. Her sister GEORGIANNA PRITCHETT was married to EMIL MEZGER. John was a baker and his shop was located at 833 Columbia St. His parents came over from SAXONY, GERMANY. John's first wife was ANN, and they had one son, GEORGE, who was 7 years older than Theodore. DORA and JOHN had 2 more children, Annie and Emil. Theodore served in the NAVY when the SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR broke out. His wife was DOROTHEA ELEANOR SAUERLAND, and they both are buried in a veteren's cemetary in Beverly, NJ. along with their son, Theodore John, jr. If anyone knows anything about these families, please email. Thanks! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
