I am searching for a son born July 2, 1996 (when I was 17 years old) in Roseland Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, named at birth Marcus Theodore Calhoun, Jr. He is biracial, Puerto Rican and black. I visited him for about a year when he was placed in foster care by DCFS, then later he was adopted through the state of Illinois. My name is on the birth certificate as Yesenia Gonzalez, mother. My son weighed 7 lbs. 13 1/2 ounces at birth. His hair was dark brown and curly, soft curls not kinks. His eyes were very round and dark brown. He was "bright skinned", or medium brown and REAL long. His biological father was not Marcus Calhoun, Sr. but his father was black and American Indian. At age one he was too tall for his age he had some weight on him so he looked older than he was--more like 2 or 3 years old. He liked me to read books to him like "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." The caseworker at DCFS was Anna Lee. My public defender was Dennis Manduro at Roosevelt and Hamilton Street in Chicago. Marcus has an older sister, Genassia, a younger brother Anthony, and a baby sister, Shakiyla. In 2004 I am living in Benton Harbor, Michigan; my mother lives with me and her name is Vilma Santiago. My maternal grandfather's town in Puerto Rico is San Lorenzo. His name is Anastacio Gonzalez and my grandmother's name Adela Gonzalez; her maiden name was Dones. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
