I am the grandson of one Deforest Francis ADAMS, whose US Army records show as being born in Stamford, NY in 1891. The rest of the complete records were consumed in a large fire that the US Personnel Records Center had. My mother, Virgina Arlene ADAMS was born at what was then known as Ft. Warren, MA in 1918.My grandmother was a training RN in Boston at that time and her maiden name was Margaret Claudine Holland (a Canadian from the province of Nova Scotia) Four years later, he disappeared into history forever. I have searched all available records and cannot find ANY record of him including the US Census for many years. I do know definitely, that he was alive in 1956 somewheres in the MA or NY State areas. I know this because relatives now deceased, mentioned this at that time, but unfortunately I was too young to realize the significance of that occurence then. Any suggestions on further research would be appreciated or anyone having knowledge of one Deforest Francis Adams (a.k.a "Chick Adams) would be the ultimate. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
