Dorcas Perkins - wife/widow of Richard Taliaferro from Surry Co., NC. (who died at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in the REV War) according to so many early Taliaferro family writings. Dorcas Perkins Taliaferro was awarded land in Georgia and moved there with her father-in-law Dr. John Taliaferro after the war and her 3 daughters. I can not find any Perkins family showing a daughter named "Dorcas". She has also been connected in Taliaferro writings as kin to the wife of Jesse Franklin who was also a "Perkins". Please help me clear up the link that many of us Taliaferro descendants have with the Perkins Family. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
