I'm hoping to gather information on my ancestors. Specifically on my father's family - the Stovalls of Kerens, Texas. My great grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Stovall (09-07-1872 died in 05-1959). He married, Joe Ella Hayes Stovall (01-25-1880 died 05-07-1960). Joe Ella and Benjamin had 11 kids: Leona, Lena, Willie, Opal Esther, Hugh "Tootie", Mamie, Ada, Preston and Tim (Templeton)-twins, Pearl Mae, and Ethel Ora. My paternal grandmother Ethel (aka Dolly Baby/Dollie) married Carl Johnson and had a daughter, Beverly Jane Johnson. Ethel also had a son, Ralph Earl Johnson who was fathered by Odie Springfield. Ethel married Riley L. Jones (Rev. R. L.) until his death in 1985. Ralph died in 1973, Odie died in 1977, and Carl died in 2000. Benjamin Franklin Stovall had one sister Eliza Stovall Jimmerison (aka Mary E.). Their mother married Charlie Wesley. Benjamin married Joe Ella Hayes (her parents: Joe Hayes (Hays) and Lena Fowler). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
