Query Text: |
I am looking for information on the family of my great great grandfather, Lawrence Farley, who was known as Laurence Farrelly in Ireland. He was born March 17, 1814 in County Meath. He married Mary Gough (or Gaugh or Goff) in probably the late 1830's. The couple raised their four children (Anna, Patrick Henry, James, and Mary) in County Meath, across the border and about 20 miles from Dublin. The wife and children arrived in America on the Shannon (from Liverpool) on July 10, 1851. The joined with the father sometime during that year and moved to Illinois, where they lived for 20 years before settling in Dakota Territory in the 1870's. The exact burial site and date of birth of Laurence's wife are not known with certainty; but, she was born in 1820 or 1821. Any information about Laurence and Mary (Goff) Farrelly/Farley and their parents and/or siblings would be greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
