I am looking for information relating to the following marriage, on either Dominick Cullen (sometimes referred to as Cullinane/Culinan) and his first wife Kate (Catherine) Prendergast. Dominic (or Dominick) Cullen's first marriage was to a Kate A. Prendergast from the district of Claremorris in Co. Mayo. Date of Marriage : 14 June 1883 Place of Marriage : Claremorris Roman Catholic Church, Co. Mayo Record : Claremorris Civil Registration Record Names : Dominic A Cullen and Kate A Prendergast Ages : Dominic : 23 Kate : 24 Condition : Bachelor and Spinster Rank or Profession : Dominic : Farmer & Shopkeeper Kate : Not Given Residence at time of marriage : Carrick, Ballinlough Kate : Drumimeen, Claremorris Fathers Name : Dominic : Michael Cullen (Deceased) Kate : Andrew Prendergast Rank or Profession of Father : Dominic's : Farmer Kate's : Farmer Mothers Names :Not given Witnesses : James J Cullen and Maggie Higgins They had a child, which may have died as an infant: Baptismal Record : Name : Patrick Michael Culinan Townland : Carrick Parents : Dominic Culinan and Catherine Prendergast Date of Birth : Not given Date of Baptism : 13 February 1884 Baptismal Sponsors : Thomas Winston and Catherine Winston I received the above information from a friend, Clair, and she could not find any death details for this child, but they often did not register children when they died. But maybe he did not die and pehaps was adopted by the Prendergast family at the time. Kate died 6 years after they were married. I have seen the name Drumineen also spelt with an 'o' � Dromineen. Does this Prendergast fit into any lines of those researching.
