SEARCHING FOR GEERT JUNG BEKMAN b. jan. 1851 who arrived aboard P. Caland apr. 1889 with partner HENDRKA WESSELINK, sons ALBERT and JAN...in allegan co., mi. We have requested info. if immigration & naturalizations posted on Allegan web site can be obtained to verify my relationship. Referrals have been cited from 1880 ottawa co., census about a GERRIT BECKMAN (Albert's birth coincides roughly-but geert's wife doesn't) in followup census 1900 newaygo, i find "HATTIE BEKMAN and single son ALBERT). I CLAIM THESE; HOWEVER, 1910 census of same location shows ALBERT BECKMAN MARRIED ANNA HELANDER and has son, JOHN. 1920 census charlevoix co., show ALBERT remarried to Lillian Ross and son JOHN & stepson BUT NO HARVEY (younger son b. 1911-12). SO FAR, I HAVE LOST GEERT or GERRIT BETWEEN 1889 & 1900 SOMEWHERE IN ALLEGAN, NEWAYGO, or OTTAWA CO. NUMEROUS REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS...CANNOT FIND ANYDEATH RECORDS OF GEERT - JAN (& I know Harvey passed away after 1985). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
