Samuel Morman Peters, son of Christian Simms (1834-1898) and Martha Ann Riddle Peters (1833-1890), was born 1 March 1872 in Virginia. He married Elizabeth Brown, 1899, Fayette County, West Virginia. She was born 2 March 1875 in England, a daughter of David (1855-1936) and Emma Jane Shipley Brown (1853-1948). Grandparents were: John and Sarah Comer Peters, Jr., John and Martha Eanes Riddle, Jr., Charles William Brown, Mary Ann Porter Brown Harrison, John and Anne (?) Shipley. Samuel Morman Peters and Elizabeth Brown had one child, a daughter, Elsie Mae Peters who was born: 24 February 1900 and died 19 October 1985, she married Benjamin Franklin Lofton, son of Shadrick Alexander and Mary Susan Kuhn Lofton, ans step-son of Annie Holmes Lofton. Samuel Morman Peters died 27 April 1952, in Bridgeport, Belmont County, Ohio. Elizabeth Brown Peters, died 8 July 1935 at the same place, leaving her parents surving in Fayette County, West Virginia.
