ARMSTRONG. In 1804 John Armstrong and his wife, Mary (Simons) Armstrong, emmigrated from Loughborough, Leicestershire, England to upstate New York. They brought their nine children, John, Thomas, William, Joseph, Joshua, Matthew, Sara, James, and Mary Ann. The childen were all baptised at the Dissenting Baptist Church in Quorn. They lived many years in Pittsford, New York, southeast of Rochester. Mary (the wife) was the only daughter of Thomas Simons. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
