Can anyone help me. I have a James H. Love (b 27 April either 1858/1859/1861 What I know is that he had two children with a woman Francis? The first one was either Riley/Rawley something like that. The second child is my grandfather. His name is Columbus Love b. 1 april 1884 d. 10 July 1930 in Hopkinsville Hospital Christian Co KY He married Leatha Goodman 30 August 1904. The story is that Columbus was born on a wagon train and his mother died at or shortly after his birth. James didn't think he could raise a baby so a Daniel Goodman raised him in Hardin Co KY. Riley/Rawley died as a young adult infantile paralysis spiral menegitus? James went on to marry Margaret Ann Grimes and had three more boys. He died 13 August 1940 Hardin Co KY He is buried in Jeffers Cemetary KY The death certificate says his parents are James Love and Lousia Love. Another story I heard is that he or his father changed his name from Wilhite to his wife's maiden name of Love??? James had red hair and was considered a wanderer.
