I am looking for information concerning my g-g-g-grandfather Burrit Anderson. He married Mary Amanda Walling somwhere around 1829 in New Jersey. He was born in 1808 there in Middletown, Monmouth, New Jersey. He, his wife, and at least 10 of his 11 children moved with him to Delaware County, New York. One of his children, Warren who was born about 1836-38. The family is listed as living in Raritan Township as of 1850 under the name of Andrews. Burrit's name has been listed a variety of ways in many of the cenuses. So he may be known as Burt, Burton, Burrit, or Burl. I have been unable to locate any information concerning who his parents are or where they are from. This has been the largest stumbling block in my genealogical research for my family. I am living in Texas, so I am unable to go to New Jersey and find this information. I would appreciate any information that anyone may be able to provide.
