My name is JoAnne Ward Albritton. (Ward is my adopted parents last name). I was born on March 6, 1956 in Jamaica, New York. I am 49 years old, but only found out 11 months ago (on my wedding day-my 1st marriage!) that I was adopted, by my sister who is also adopted, but not by same birthmother. My adopted parents have both passed away, and never told us we were adopted. I talked with my aunt after I found out, and the only details she has is that it was a private adoption, that my birthmother was around 15 or 16 years old. I know I was born in Jamaica New York, and that I was born with a broken collar bone and that they had to use forceps to deliver me, so I had focep marks on my head. I was born with a head full of dark brown hair. My hair is very thick. I am fairly tall around 5'8", and have stuggled with weight problems since around 11 years old. I was born in the evening around 7:30 or so from what my parents told me. I have brown hair and blue eyes. That is all the info I have. But I am curious about finding out more about my birth mother. I do have some health problems and would like to find out more. I do know that the adoption was handled by Angel Guardian Home. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
