I am searching for imigration information for a Great Graandfather Charles Zimmermann (1837-1915).Emigrated from near Berlin in 1853 at age of 16. Stayed in Buffalo 1 year, and then came to Detroit. Eventually he was a prominent citizen and a grocery merchant on Mich Ave, lived on 22nd St. He married Amelia Krumbach, also from Berlin area.(W prussia) He had 4 children, Emma Wolf, William, Anna, and Frank, my grandfather.
