~~~ HELP! ~~~ Seeking information as to who raised John and Magdalene BOGGESS' children? John Boggess (1775-1815) s/o Samuel (1742-1825) and Elizabeth Dorsey (1749MD-1824VA) BOGGESS, married 1772 in MD, 1801 to Lumberport area in Harrison County now WV, and is my g,g,grandfather. John, 21 Oct 1805 married Magdalene Robinson (1788-1814), d/o Major Benjamin and his 2nd wife Mary Wilkinson, m. 19 May 1785, Harrison County. John & Magdalene's children: 1)- Caroline Litchfield, b 1809, m. Thomas Robinson (s/o McKinney Robinson & Liz Wamsley), d. 1871, buried Laura Lee Mine Cemetery (?). 2)-My great grandfather Samuel, 1811, 1st m. Tabitha Wamsley 1830, had 6 children, 2nd m. Sarah Elizabeth Wood in Salem 1873, had 3 children, d 1887, buried Point Pleasant Cemetery behind "Twin Houses", upper Tenmile District, 3)- Robert, b 1812, m ?, d. ?, and, 4)- Mary Magdalene, b. 1814 (this possibly was Alburtus and Susannah Boggess' only child, same, name & birth date) Magdalene Robinson's sisters married John's younger brothers: 1)- Susannah to Alburtus , 14 Oct 1813, died 1815, 2)- Malinda to George W., 14 Sep 1817, and, 3)- Mary Elizabeth to Caleb, 4 Nov 1817. Our great grandfather Samuel would have been 4 at fathers death and 14 at his grandfather Samuel's death. He was 19 when 1st married. Someone raised these kids, but who???
