JEFFRIESS - Seeking contact with descendants of William Henry Jeffriess (1844-1919) and Sarah Elizabeth JONES (1847-1923). Sarah was the daughter of Port Jackson convicts, Joseph Jones per Hadlow (1) 1818, from London, and Mary Ahern per Palambam 1831. William was the son of Joel or Job & Harriett Jeffriess. The surviving children of William and Sarah (with their married names) were Harriet (BRENNEKE), Emily (LESLIE), Matilda (DALE), William, Arthur, Alice (MULHOLLAND), Frederick J. Arthur, Frank Leslie, and Ida or Ada (BISHTON). A family history, CONVICT BEGINNINGS: the Jones Family Story – published in 2004, indexed, is a collection of the available research and the stories of convicts, Joseph Jones, per Hadlow (1) 1818 and his wife, Mary Ahern, per Palambam 1831, and their descendants, living in Sydney and the Hunter Valley from the early 1800s. This hardcover book includes family trees, stories of descendants, portraits and images of Tickets of Leave, Petitions, and Joseph’s Conditional Pardon. Seeking contact with descendants.
