William Lyons, my grandfather, was killed on the SS Kenmare in the Irish Sea on 2nd march 1918. He was 25 years old, born in Cork. His parents were Ellen and Daniel Lyons of 18 Ballyhooley Road, Cork. He fathered a child, my mother, by Mary Twomey on the 29 August 1918. She was shipped over to the UK as a result.
