Re BURDS - NJ or PA. Beginning with David Burd in 1785 there appeared in Union Co., PA (originally part of Northumberland Co.) a number of BURD families. By 1810 there was also a David, Jr., William, Peter, Sr., and John. Subsequently there was added PETER, Jr. (my ancestor), Levi, Samuel and Luke. There is evidence that NJ was the original residence of these persons. Any information about these individuals wouls be most welcome. | |||||||||||||||||||||
