I am searching for two family lines. First is Stanley-Foster of Homewood, Ala. and soon after a fire in homewood; they moved to Leeds, Alabama. My grandfather's name was John Foster and my grandmother's name was Carrie (Stanley) Foster. Their children's names are John Jr, Judy, Fortuna (Phyllis), Henry, Woodrow, and Stanley. This has been the hardest research ever, because I am looking especially for my grandfather's family lines. I do know there is a Oliver Foster who was a freedman and successful business owner in the 1800's, which is unusual for African-Americans!
