Jens Andreas Guttormson came to Minnesota c 1887, he was my great-grandfather and may have changed his name to John Thompson. He brought his children to Minnesota after his wife died. They were heading to Ada, Minnesota when they left Norway and I know they lived in Norman County Minnesota for a while. I believe they then moved to Manchester, Freeborn County, Minnesota. What I am trying to find out is where he is buried. I have found several of the children. Tora married Jonny Meland and is buried in Ramsey County. Anna married Lars Goskesen and is buried in Mower County, Minnesota. Jensine married John P Fossum and is buried in Freeborn County. Two of the children died just after their arrival and are buried in Norman County. If anyone can tell me where this man ended up, I would be very grateful. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
