Query Text: |
I am looking for info. on Lucia Dustin of New Hampshire. She married Alonzo Burbank and lived in Gilmanton in 1880. She is said to be of full-blood Native American, but the different census that I can find list her as mullato, black and also white, showing that the recorders just put down what they felt like. I would like to find out who her parents were, and proof of blood line. She was raised by the Dustin family (who were white) apparently after a raid on a Native village, which was burned to the ground, after which she was found wandering around. (This was perhaps in retaliation for the kidnapping of a Dustin family member.) Thankyou | |||||||||||||||||||||
