I am looking for info on Dack Smith married to Elizabeth Jaudon. There was one Child from this union M.C. (Mack) Smith who was born Feb.13, 1866 and died Jan. 8, 1909. Dack died in a brawl when Mack was very young. Don't know if Dack is his name or if it was short for somrthing else. M.C. (Mack) married Zora Bell Smithart Ware, in June of 1884 in Holmes County. Mack and Zora Bell were my Great Grandparents on my maternial side. I only have a a little info on any of these family members. I know from Zora's obit that she was from Yazoo County and that she was saved in the Methodist church when she was 10. Dack Smith reported severed in the Civil War and later returned to Lexington and operated his own freight co. It would seem that ther would be some records to document this story. This was passed on by Dacks grandson who was one of Mack and Zora Bells Sons. Would be so greatful for any info with regard to this mystery. Cindy McGehee | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
