Henry Breakell, born Preston 1859 was the son of a tailor, James Breakell, born 1832 and Sarah Wilde. The Breakell business was in Church Street, Preston and they were known as high class tailors. Henry married Agnes Clayton (also from Preston)in Preston approx 1886. The Clayton's were Mill owners and a brother of Agnes'was James Clayton who was instrumental in setting up the Viscose industry in America for Courtland's. Henry and Agnes and their family immigrated to Australia in 1911. Agnes died in 1911 in Australia and Henry married Mary Back, an old Preston family friend who had previously immigrated to Australia some time before 1910. Mary was a nurse and had been registered with the London Obstetrics society. Mary's parents, Alfred and Mary Back were farmers and may have lived in the Preston area, -- both were deceased by 1911. I would like to contact any one with knowledge of the Breakell, Clayton and Back families.in Preston. UK | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
