I am searching for either birth parent. I was born on January 1, 1969 in North Carolina. I was adopted from Fayettville, NC and moved to Weldon, NC. I believe my birth mother's last name was Briggs and that she was 16 at the time of my birth, but I'm not completely sure. I was adopted through the Departments of Social Service in Halifax and Cumberland counties. The adoption took place when I was 6 weeks old around Feb. 18, 1969. I want you to know that I have grown up with a loving, Christian family in a wonderful small southern community. You did a great thing by allowing me to be adopted instead of aborting me.
