Searching for information, ancestors and family of Carl Anderson/Soderstrom, my Greatgrandfather. Carl(Karl?) was born an Anderson(Andersen?) whose adopted name was Soderstrom. It is not known if the adoption was by his mothers husband or a seperate family. He would have been born about or before 1890 possibly in northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin. He married Emma Sophia Swanson about or before 1912 most likely in the DeKalb or Kane County area of Illinois, there were three children born: Gilbert(1913), LaVerne(?) and Alice(1922). The family was living in Kenosha, Wisconsin by the late 19teens - early 1920's. Carl may have been involved in furniture manufacturing, I grew up with many pieces said to have been made by him. At some point possibly during the 1930's he left Emma, returning once around 1935-1940 to get a divorce. He then went to Michigan, it is said, where he re-married and started another family.
