My father was Robert "Bobby" William Norris. He and his family when growing up was in Cumberland Co., Tenn. Some of his life he was in Jackson Co., Scottsboro, Alabama. We believe that he and his family were of Cherokee blood. But so far no documentation of it. But we traced the Norris family back to Cumberland Co., Tenn. We need help finding were his father, Riley Benjamin Norris was born and also his mother, Jonny Floyd Renfrow was born and where they both grew up. I can find nothing except the 1930 Census that says that they all lived in Cumberland Co., Tenn and also Robert had a sister, named Flora Jewel Norris that married a McCoy.
