Hi. I am trying to find more information on this line of my family. Most of what I have was obtained through census records. My great-great-grandfather was Remi Boerner (also could be spelled Reimi or Romeo). He was born in October 1840 in Saxony. Around 1856 he had immigrated to the USA and set up residence in Philadelphia, PA. He had served as a Sergeant in the Civil War for the Union. He was in Company "G" of the 72nd Pennsylvania Voulenteer Infantry {a.k.a. Baxters Fire Zouaves} Around 1862 he had married Mary (unknown). She was born in Wurtemburg around 1844 and immigrated to the USA at an unknown date. Remi and Mary had several Children, all born in PA: Ida: ~1866 Mary: ~1868 Emma: September, 1869 Louis: ~1872 Henry R.: March, 1875 William R.: November 2, 1876 (my great-grandfather) Frank: ~1879 Oliver: April 1882 Benjamin: July 1889 Sometime between 1889 and 1899, Remi's wife Mary dies(?). He marries Minnie (unknown) around 1899. Minnie was born in November 1858 in Germany. She immigrated to the USA in 1871. Remi and Minnie had one child, born in PA: Emanuel: ~1901 I don't know what happened to Remi or Minnie after 1910. I do have some info on the children's families though: - Emma married Benjamin Hahn around 1889 and had at least one child: Mary: Feburary 1892. - Louis married Margaret (unknown) in ? and had at least 6 children, all born in PA: Lillian: ~1902 Margaret: ~1904 Louis: ~1905 Walter: ~1908 Helen: ~1910 Dorothy: ~Nov.-Dec. 1919 - Henry married Annie Denight around 1900 and had two children, both born in PA (Annie died sometime between 1902 and 1910): Annie: April 1900 Raymond: ~1902 - William R. married Catherine G. Hogan on November 20, 1912. They had two children, both born in PA: Veronica Hannah: December 6, 1913 Katherine Grace: July 14, 1917 (my grandmother) Any information is welcome.
