My ggggrandfather Pvt. William Jackson (Jackson) Blackmon/man died in a Confederate hospital in Salisbury NC on 5 July 1864. He was assigned to the 11 FL Company H. This information was taken from his wifes pension request. His enlistment was with the 28th GA. Light Artillery where he was later assigned to the FL 11th. Company. He left FL in May 1864 for Richmond, VA where he contrcted diarrhea and was transferred to Salsibury NC. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
