Help sought for location of and information concerning two Mississippi plantations. 1)- Plantation in northern Marshall County, MS owned or operated by Baptist family named Wills or Wells with 17 slaves, of which six were youngsters, in 1859/60, located six mies from Bihalia and nine from Holly Springs. Virginia LaFayette (Davis) (1834ME-1886AR) , Oliver Crosby (1832Me-195AR) and infant son Clyde Leslie (1859MN-1861AR) GRAY, school teachers, lived and taught school here 1859/60, coming from Montecillo, MN, later going to Princeton, AR for school year 1860/61, he then commandor of A Company, 3rd Regt. Ark. Cav. Confederate Army during raid 20 Dec 1862 of Holly Springs, MS. 2)- A plantation in Marshall County, MS owned, until death in 1843, by Augustus MOORE (1788-1843), father-in-law of Dr. Euclid BORLAND (1809VA-1881VA) who operated it for Moore, brother of Senator (Col) Dr Solon Borland (1811VA-1864TX).
