Searching for information on Halty family. Martin and Magdalena Halty [also spelled Halte, Haldi] immigrated to the USA from Alsace-Lorraine France in late 1846 or early 1847 with their two children Magdalena [Lena] and Antoine. Martin born 1809, Magdalena born 5-28-1817, both presumably born in Alsace. They settled outside of Centralia in Dubuque County, Iowa. There they had additional children: Joseph, Catherine, Mary, John, and Martin. Martin naturalized in Dubuque County on 10-5-1854. I am trying to find out the village where the Halty's came from in Alsace-Lorraine or anything about the Halty family. Thanks! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
