I am looking for information on my ancestors, and relatives that I may have. My paternal great grandfather was named John Melvin Wheeler, and he was the first United States Deputy Marshall of Oklahoma. He married Sally McCutchen (I'm not sure if I spelled that right) and they had six children, including my grandfather, Albert Anthony Wheeler. I believe they came to Oklahoma from Alabama. My grandfather married Lois Parkhill, and she was from Paris, Texas. I am also interested in my mother's side of the family, with the surname Helmer. My maternal grandfather is Ben (born "Rueben") Helmer and he grew up in Canada, and moved to Marion, Kansas where he met my grandmother, Jean (born "Bonnie Jean") Tucker. Anyone who believes that they may be related to (or who was aquainted with) these people, I would love to hear from you to gain insight to build my family tree.
