My Grandfather’s name was Morgan Albert Mattox, but the rest of the family spelled it Maddox. My Grandmother’s name was Lillian Madison Saunders/Sanders, who was part Indian. They lived in Williamson, WV. They had 7 children: James, Frank, Robert, Morgan, William Henry (my Dad), Little Mack (who died when he was a baby), and sister Martha. My Grandfather had at least two ½ brothers named Charles Maddox and Sid (Cid)Maddox, they lived somewhere in Virginia/North Carolina, I believe. Sid (Cid) owned a flower shop in one of the Carolinas. I am just starting out on this LONG journey and I'm trying to find out who my Great Grandparents are. This is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Please help!
