Hi, I am researching the Avery, Carter,Hoskins,and Addams families. My grandmother, Elizabeth, (Lizzie) Avery was said to have been born in Tennessee around 1892. Her parents were Jessee and Easter (Esther) Avery. and she had a brother named Will. She married Aleck Addams in Knoxville, Tn. He was from North Carolina they had two daughters, Henrietta and Katie Lee. Then she married John Hoskins, and they had a daughter named Lera. She then married George Carter and they resided in Stonega, Wise County, Va. The census shows it as Gladeville. Any information or leads especially on the exact place of birth would be helpful.
