Searching for info on the family of Ammi Almanzia Brown (aka Albert A. Brown, aka Adli Brown) and his wife Almira Saunders (aka Rachel Saunders). Ammi is thought to have been born in Massachusetts in about 1832, parents unknown. Almira Saunders is thought to have been born in Plainfield, Otsego Co, NY, on Mar 18 1845, a daughter of William M. Saunders (b. Connecticut, d. Winnetka, Cook Co, IL) and Catherine Beedle (b. Plainfield, Otsego Co, NY). We don't know when or where the couple married. They resided in Aldrich Twp, Wadena Co, MN, at the time of the 1885 Census. Their son, Addison Avery Brown, was born in Verndale, Wadena Co, MN, on Aug 1 1881. Ammi purchased a tract of land in Minnesota in Dec 1890. Addison was living in Chehalia Co, State of Washington, in early 1910. That same year, he moved to Doddridge Co, WV, married Nancy "Babe" Haught, and they subsequently raised a family there. We have found nothing more regarding Ammi Almanzia (Adli) Brown and his wife Almira (Rachel) Saunders. We don't know Ammi's parentage, we don't know if the couple had any other children, and other than the 1890 land purchase, we have no information on them after Addison's birth. Any clues, however slight, would be greatly appreciated.
