Query Text:

 The Hymus family originated in Ashdon Essex in 1555 with Johannes Himmus. The villages they concentrated in were Ashdon, Bartlow, Castle Casmps, West Wickham, Linton, West Wratting and quite a few others. One branch (mine) emigrated to Western Australia in 1841. Others went to Canada and the US (Hymas). There is a large concentration of Hymuses in Northumberland but I have found no connection yet.
