I am looking for descendants of Lieutenant General James Burn of 40th Regiment Bengal Native Infantry,BSC.He was born at Montague Place,Marylebone in 1820.Son of Edward Burn and Amelia Frederica Todd.Educated at Addiscombe College. Later he became Resident Councillor of Malacca,Malaysia from(8th October 1860-May 1863/December 1864-July 1867). He married to Jessie Mills Henderson of Press.After his retirement in India,he went back to Bath and became a Town Councillor for the Ward Of Landsdown.In 1887,he was elected a Poor Law Guardian for the parish of Walcot.A member of Royal United Hospital.He became chairman of the Bathwick Committee. He died in 1893.He had ten children.His issue - i) Christina Burn(1865). ii)Edward Burn (1865). iii)James Montague Burn(1865-?)married Fanny Isabella Alecock.His issue- ai)Phyllis Burn(1898-1918). aii)Edith Eleanor Burn married Alfred Burn-Callander.Their issue:- bi)Roderick William Burn-Callander(1920-?)married Hilary Carter.His issue:- ci)Jeremy Burn-Callander born in 1949. cii)Julian Thomas Burn-Callander born in 1954. iv)Alexander Henderson Burn,CIE, OBE, FSA, late Indian Army [5th/13th FFR](1885-1949),Cleveland Square, London W2. v)Helen Burn(?-1912). vi)Amelia Frederick Burn. vii)Jessie Mills Burn(?-1936)married Rev.Percivale Arthur Hippisley Smith.
