I am searching for the origins and ancestry of my great-grandfather, James Parkeson Miller, the son of Samuel Bicel Miller, who was the son of Michael Miller. James Parkeson Miller was born in Newville, Cumberland County, Pa., around 1850. His father, Samuel, married Mary Louisa Bricker - a decendent of the Peter Bricker family, I've been told. Samuel's father, Michael Miller, married an Elizabeth Bicel, Piscle, Bickel, something like that, presumably also in Pennsylvania in the early 1800s or late 1700s. Any help would be appreciated. My cousin is on the same search and we keep getting stumped at Michael Miller. We're also searching for the ancestry of William F. Fowler, our maternal great-great grandfather. William's parents, apparently from New York, are unknown to us. So we're trying to research the family history of James Parkeson Miller's wife, Marion Frances (Fowler) as well.
