My ggg grandmother was Augusta Alcinda Rockwell, born in Illinois (either Whireside or Stephenson county) in the 1850's. Her mother was Esther Lincoln and her father was probably Wm. Rockwell. Numerous websites say that Wm. died in the Civil War, HOWEVER Esther remarried on Feb 14, 1861, before the Civil War actually started. My source for this is the ILlinois marraige index.
