I'm looking for Davis ancestors in the Graves County Ky area. My grandfather, Richard Arthur Davis married a Minnie Ann McClanahan and resided in Hickman most of their marriage. I've been lucky enough to trace Grandma Minnie's family way back. But, Grandpa Arthur is a mystery. I do know, from his eldest daughter, who is no longer with us, that his father was buried in a cemetery in Mayfield, Ky. I don't know his name. The 1910 Ky Census shows an Arthur Davis living with Rufus Gilbert 56, and his wife Annie 45 (who was born in Illinois). Richard Arthur Davis was 20 at the time of the 1910 census. And there were many McClanahan families in Graves County for this census year. If anyone might know anything about Richard Arthur Davis' parents, or sibling, please contact me.
