 Oldest known HOWARD family member is Silas Augustis Howard born poss. Cayuga Co, NY Town of Locke, c. 1825, m. Elizabeth Ann Carpenter in Middlebury Twp, Tioga Co, PA, and sired 12 children. Great-great grandfather died 20 Jan 1906 in Royal, NE (Antelope County). Served in Civil War and injured at Battle of Shiloh on Apr 6, 1862. Member of GAR.
