I am looking for information on my great grandfather, his name is John Norman and he was born abt. 1870 in KY. I am thinking Pike Co. as that is where his family was. John married Florence (nee Mounts)on 22 OCT 1891, they had several children with one of those being my maternal grandma, Martha b. 9 JAN 1910. What I am trying to find out is who John's parents were. I found him on the 1880 census living with his grandparents William and Rhoda (nee Estep) Norman. But which of their kids is John's dad? I think it may be William Riley, only because,John was born in 1870 and Wm. R and Elizabeth (nee Hatfeild)were married in 1869. After John is grown he has a [half brother] named Willim T. Hatfield living with him on the 1810 census in Pike Co. KY. The glitch is that the only child listed for Wm and Elizabeth is Jeriamiah "Jerry" Norman.
